My Name is Matthew Diers, a new real estate agent for Coldwell Banker Distinctive Properties.
I have been a resident of Colorado my entire life and lived here on the Western Slope since 1981. After graduating high school in Boulder Colorado, I served 4 years as an infantryman in the United States Marine Corps. At the end of my 4-year enlistment I located here in Grand Junction to attend Colorado Mesa University. I graduated from Colorado Mesa University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology with an emphasis in natural resource management. In 1987, I earned my Colorado teaching certification and started teaching life science Cedaredge High School. In Cedaredge Colorado, I spent 13 years teaching biology, coaching baseball, and basketball. In 1999 my family and I moved to Palisade where I served 15 years, 5 as an Assistant Principal and then 10 years as Principal of Palisade High School. The last 4 years of my public education career I served as the Executive Director of Secondary Education for Mesa County Valley School District 51. When I retired from public education, I acquired my real estate license and have been working in real estate and property management for 3 years.
I am married to a wonderful woman (Jody), have raised three great children (all in their 30’s) and we adore 3 beautiful grandchildren.
My wife and I like to spend our free time outside on the road, travelling with our camper, fishing, hiking, and biking as well as skiing in the winter.
In the 3 years as a real estate agent and 30 years as a private property manager my goal as a real estate agent has always been the same. I will strive to provide my clients the highest level of real estate or property management service that they will need.
One Client at A Time!
